Women In Sport. Mr. John O'Donoghue T.D., Minister for Arts, Sport, and Tourism officially launched the Irish Sports Council's €750,000 Women in Sport Initiative, at an event in the National Boxing Stadium on October 13th 2005. The Initiative is aimed at promoting increased participation of women of all ages in sport.
